Meet the Troubadours

His Lordship's Troubadours is comprised of a group of young people who wish to serve the Lord through our musical and performing arts talents.

In the Fall of 2011 the Couture Family had the idea of forming a dancing group that would give Christian and conservative young adults the opportunity to interact with one another in a clean and positive environment.  In December of 2011 we hosted our first Christmas Ball! Following the Ball a small group of friends wished to continue the interaction we had so enjoyed during our dance practices, so after much practice and coordination we hosted a classical concert for friends and family in February of 2012.  Following much discussion we decided to officially don the name, His Lordship's Troubadours because we all serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, and we all love to sing, dance and play!

Since December of 2011 the Couture family has hosted two Spring Balls and another Christmas Ball plus many dance practices.  September 2013 marked the beginning of the Troubadours hosting of the dance events.

Below is a short introduction of each current Troubadour.

L to R: Stephen, Joshua, Paul, Jean,
Elizabeth, Aaron, Caleb & Jonathan
The Couture Family: A homeschool family of 6 children, the Couture's have lived in the Moberly, MO area since May of 2000.  Each of the children have graduated, some are married, some are single, but all are now serving the community in various ways.  Much to Mother's relief all of the children have stayed in Missouri. :-)  Paul Couture: Owns a grounds management business in Moberly, MO, and loves cycling in his spare time.  He is our logistics man and head honcho. :-)  Jean Couture: Is a domestic engineer and the mama/grandma bear of the clan.  She does the accounting for the grounds management business, thus she is the treasurer for His Lordship's Troubadours.  She is the head refreshment coordinator and chief calmer of Elizabeth Couture. :-) (Thanks mom!)

Aaron Couture: The fourth child in the Couture family, Aaron loves horses and re-enacting.  He currently owns a pure-bred Arabian mare named SJ Callista.  As a member of the South Fork Regulators, he portrays a cowhand/sheriff's deputy named Trouble Shooter, and lives up to the name quite well...the first part that is. ;-)  In order to support his habits he works at TEVA, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, in Mexico, Missouri.  He is part of our set-up and clean-up crew, and one of our principal dancers.

Caitlin Couture

Caleb Couture:  Is the youngest of the Couture clan, his main interests are computers and the Civil Air Patrol.  Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is a volunteer auxiliary of the Air Force that gives leadership training for young adults.  In January 2016 he attained the rank of Cadet Colonel, the highest ranking a cadet can achieve, and he works very hard at making the organization a better place.  He also keeps us on our toes with various computer gadgets and modern digital devices.  When he is not speaking in Geek (yes, I spelled that right), or working at his job at Schuyler House in Columbia, he is one of our principal dancers and DJ/Audio Engineer, and website manager.

Elizabeth Couture: Is the second oldest in the Couture family and the only girl.  She enjoys a wide range of activities but focuses on cycling, music and horses.  As Aaron's horse buddy, she gets to enjoy SJ Callista and is looking forward to show jumping in the future.  Someday she would love to have a family of her own.  In the meantime, she has a private studio that she teaches piano and violin from in Columbia, MO.  She is our primary caller and the coordinator for most of our events.

Jessica Grenke: As the second born in a family of 9 children, Jessica loves children and looks forward to having a family of her own.  She enjoys adventure and hanging out with friends!  At present she finds herself hard at work at Home Bank in Centralia, MO as a teller/account specialist, and is dating a gentleman from the great state of Illinois.  She is our invitation designer, lends her creative mind to the planning process and is one of our principal dancers.
Shannon Grenke: Is the next younger sister to Jessica.  She is quite the bookworm which is probably why she worked at the library for so long!  Until...she decided to go to William Woods University in Fulton, MO to finish her degree in Sign Language, at which time she began working at Family Video in Fulton.  One of her other favorite pastimes is clogging with her siblings in a group from Hallsville.  She is bright, fun, and keeps us laughing!  She is one of our principal dancers.

Stephen Couture

Tyler Wood: Is a new engineer for a company in Earth City, MO, after graduating Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering in December of 2016.  His consistency is legendary, and he is one of are hardest working members, always pitching in to help with set-up and clean-up, and demonstrating any dance in our repertoire.  He is one of our principal dancers, and caller.  P.S. Thanks for the Doritos, Tyler!!
