Happy New Year!

Ready to lace up those dancing shoes?  We are!!  You are invited join us as we kick off our 2017 dancing season this Saturday, in Centralia.

When: Saturday, January 21st
Time: 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.

Cost: $2 per person, suggested donation
What to Bring: Comfortable shoes for dancing, and some finger food to share.

We will once again be dancing on the 1st, and 3rd Saturdays of each month at the Centralia Community Room.

Many thanks to all who attended and helped with this year's Christmas Ball!  This was definitely the best year yet, and we truly appreciate the friendships and memories that we continue to make each year with you.  Pictures from the big event are coming soon, so be on the lookout for this year's album!

Only 5 Days Left!!

Only 5 days remaining until our biggest dance event of the year, and we are getting really excited as preparations for the event are in full swing!!

     Now that the final touches of the decorations are finished, they are being organized and gathered together for their annual trip to the Lodge.  Soon, they will help to transform the dance hall into a blue and silver wonderland for another evening of elegance!  

    As the decorations are being assembled, the food process is also gearing up as we purchase punch items, and all the ingredients for the delicious delicacies soon to come!  By Friday, many a kitchen will be bustling as we prepare a wide variety of cookies, candies, truffles, and an assortment of hor d'oeuvres to delight the palette throughout the evening.  My mouth is already watering!

  While we are creating playlists, finishing dance cards, gathering decorations, and preparing food, we hope you are preparing for this fantastic evening of dancing and fun!  Finding that perfect tie to match your best jacket, choosing the best necklace to put the finishing touches on your favorite gown, and planning travel arrangements for your trip to the social event of the season.  Oh, and don't forget that mask!

   It appears that we have been granted a crisp, clear winter day for dancing!  Should this change to a whiter or icier day, we will be sure to post any cancellations as soon as possible.  However, we will not cancel if snow is "possible", because we're from Missouri after all, so you'll have to "show me" the snow first!  The show will go on if at all possible.

   With less than a week to go, preparations are in full swing to create an evening of fun and elegance for everyone, and we hope that you are able to join us as we celebrate Christ, and the joy He brings to us each day.

Final Regular Dance of 2016!

Please join us as we bid farewell to another wonderful year of dancing and fellowship!  It has been such an exciting journey, and we hope to enjoy your company as we prepare for a new year of adventure!

Christmas Ball!!

Our 2016 Christmas Ball is fast approaching, so here are the details to ensure you mark your calendar for the event of the year!!

Anyone over the age of 13, who is looking for an evening of fun, fellowship and dancing!  You do not have to dance to attend, but you must have a ticket in order to remain after 6:00 p.m.

Refreshments

Everyone needs some food at a party!  Drinks and refreshments are provided throughout the evening.  Gluten free items will be marked.

Tickets

$12 if purchased before December 1st

$15 if purchased after December 1st

You may reserve tickets to be paid for at the door, but all tickets paid for after December 1st will be $15.  This includes tickets reserved before the 1st, but paid for at the door.

Attire

This is a formal event, so please dress accordingly.

~ Masks are encouraged, but not required.

~ Attire from any era, including modern formal wear or Sunday best is appropriate.

~ NO attire or masks depicting evil characters will be allowed.

~ Ladies: Please be sure to wear an appropriate jacket or shawl for spaghetti strap or strapless gowns.

~ Gents: For modern attire, suits or tuxes are encouraged, but not required.  Ties are a must, as well as dress slacks, and button up shirts.

Weather

We have been blessed with wonderful weather most years, and we are hoping to continue that streak this year.  The show will go on if at all possible.  However, should the weather become...interesting, we shall be sure to monitor it, and post any cancellations by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the event, both on our blog, and by email.  If you have any questions regarding cancellations, or need directions please call:

November Dance

Our second dance of the month will be held this Saturday, November 19th, in the fellowship hall at the First Christian Church in Centralia.  *Please note the temporary location change!*

We are excited to have Tyler Wood calling for us this week, so be sure to join the fun!  And with the upcoming ball, this is the perfect time to brush up on your dancing skills, or give it a try for the first time. :-)

Town Square Dance

   Our June Dance will be held June 11th, in the Town Square in Centralia.  Since we will be outdoors, and will have a potluck at this event, the dance will start at 4:00 p.m., with the potluck starting about 6:00 p.m.  In case of inclement weather we still have the Community Room booked, so the dance will go off rain or shine.  

    Please bring a dish to share.  Paper goods and drinks will be provided.  

    The cost for this event is $5 per person, children 5 and under are free.  So, come on out and enjoy the outdoors, great food and some good old fashioned dancing and fellowship!
